General Info

Tucked away at QCJW+GGV in Bukhara, Uzbekistan, Magistral Plov Center feels like one of those local gems you’re glad you didn’t miss. It’s not trying to be flashy or overly modern-instead, it leans into what really matters: hearty food, a welcoming atmosphere, and a menu that keeps people coming back.

From the moment you walk in, the setting feels relaxed and straightforward. The seating is comfortable, and the space is designed more for enjoying a good meal than impressing with décor. It’s the kind of cafe where you settle in, take your time, and focus on the experience. Whether you’re visiting for dinner or just stopping by after a long day of exploring Bukhara, the vibe is easygoing and unpretentious.

The real highlight here is, without a doubt, the plov. The Бухарский Плов В Казане is cooked in a traditional kazan, and you can taste that depth immediately. The rice is rich, the meat is tender, and everything is infused with bold, comforting flavors. Then there’s Оши Софи Очень Вкусное И Сытное-exactly as described, it’s incredibly satisfying and filling, perfect if you’re arriving hungry. For something with a slightly different twist, Buxorocha Osh Barbir Boshqachada offers a unique take that stands out on the menu without losing its authentic roots.

Service is another strong point. Table service is attentive but never intrusive, and the staff keeps things moving smoothly even when the place gets busy. Paying is easy too, with debit cards accepted, which is always a plus for travelers. And if you’re driving, free street parking nearby makes the visit even more convenient.

What makes this spot memorable isn’t just the food-it’s the overall experience. The combination of traditional dishes, simple yet functional seating, and consistent service creates a place that feels genuine. Reviews from visitors often mention the generous portions and the comforting flavors, and it’s easy to see why.

If you’re exploring dining locations in Bukhara and want something authentic without overcomplication, this cafe delivers exactly that. It’s a place where the menu speaks for itself, and every dish feels like it’s been prepared with care and tradition in mind.

What customers say?

“ Although a bit of of the center, it is worth visiting this place to try Bukhoro plov. One of the best in town they say and packed with locals for lunch. Best to visit this place between 12:30 - 14:00. ”

- FaZ-B -

“ Delicious Plov in Buxoro Style with small rice al-dente cooked and some raisins. The meat is cooked in whole chunks and than cut in pieces. We ordered it with additional very tasty horse sausage called qazi. ”

- Roger E. -

“ Delicious, good prices. We ate osh, samsa and mants. All about 90.000 sum. ”

- Bektemis Edil -

“ A local restaurant for Plov outside the old city of Bukhara that we visited with a taxi as it is far from the old city. The food was delicious,we had two plovs and a green tea. We only saw locals in the table so we realised that it is not a popular "destination" for tourists but I think you have to try it!! ”

- Christos Moschos -

“ ???????? Every region of Uzbekistan has its own variety of palov (osh). This one is Bukharian “oshi sofi”, and the best of it - according to locals - is served here, at an off the beaten path cafe called Magistral. ???????? Bukhorocha “oshi sofi”. Magistral degan kafeda. #uzbekplov #uzbekfood #bukhara #visituzbekistan #uzbekistan #letsguide #uzbek #узбек ”

- Nodir Zakirov -

“ Authentic Bukhara-style plov which is lighter than the versions from Samarkand and Tashkent. The meats are only boiled and not fried in oil. The rice is cooked to perfection and is absolutely delicious with the right mix of carrots, raisins and other spices. The beef is tender and of the right texture. Definitely recommend this place as a lunch time pit stop. ”
